Salmon Bulgogi (연어 불고기)

A quick and easy Korean salmon‑bulgogi recipe – tender salmon marinated in soy sauce with ginger, garlic, and a hint of lemon. It can be cooked on the grill, in the oven, or in a skillet in just minutes.
Ingredients
- 450 grams salmon
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice wine (mirin)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 tsp garlic
- 1 tsp ginger
- to taste black pepper

Remove any bones from the salmon fillet, if present, and cut it into pieces 2–3 cm thick.

In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, rice wine (mirin), sesame oil, lemon juice, sugar, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper, stirring until the sugar and honey are fully dissolved.

Coat the salmon pieces in the prepared marinade, cover, and let marinate for 20–30 minutes (or longer).

Preheat the broiler (or grill), place the salmon on a parchment-lined tray, and broil for 3–4 minutes until the fish is cooked through and lightly browned.

Serve immediately, optionally sprinkling with fresh black pepper or herbs.
