Ingredients
- 2 pcs egg
- 200 ml water
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tsp green onion
- 2 tsp light soy sauce
- 2 sesame oil
- to taste shrimp
- to taste asparagus
- to taste carrot
Steps
-
Beat the eggs, pour in warm water, add salt and mix thoroughly.
-
Strain the mixture through a sieve into two small cups and, if desired, sprinkle with finely chopped green onion.
-
Cover the cups with plastic wrap and make small punctures for steam to escape.
-
Place the cups in a steamer and cook for 10‑12 minutes over low heat, starting when the water in the pot boils.
-
After cooking, drizzle the eggs with light soy sauce and sesame oil, and if desired, gently poke the custard-like mass so the sauce is absorbed. Serve warm.
-
If using a garnish, after the first 7 minutes of steaming add shrimp, asparagus, and carrot to the cups, then continue cooking for another 3 minutes.
